Clint Burnham, a Lacan scholar who teaches in Vancouver has expressed an interest and will submit a proposal shortly. Nadir Lahiji, who is currently too busy to participate, has asked for the option to participate if the writing deadline is pushed to 2023.
There is a plan for the Lacan Palgrave Series, edited by Derek Hook and Calum Neill:
- members develop ideas through the convivial method proposed by Lorens Holm — circulate drafts from comments and suggestions, then re-write.
- work directly with Calum Neill and Derek Hook (editors of the Palgrave Lacan Series).
- invite outsider views (Todd McGowan)
- try to feature Joan Copjec’s important but often overlooked contribution to the Architecture+Lacan idea.
- proposals will be available on this website in PDF form.
- to read and comment, access the PDF and use Preview or other markup to make comments and return to kunze767@gmail.com.
- annotated PDFs will be available on this site.
- Use APA style even with proposals. Marked up PDFs will be posted beneath the originals.
- An abbreviated APA style guide for our immediate use may be handy for now.
- Use an image if you wish; violate any rule if you WISH, but have a good reason ready. Massive style violations will be sent back pronto.
upcoming deadlines
- July 15: Presentation versions of chapter proposals; outline; anticipated figures — what the editors will need to go to Palgrave with this book proposal.
- first draft essays, 6000–8000 suggested length. Co-authored collaboration pieces encouraged. Representation, direct or indirect, of non-iPSA members such as Joan Copcec and Mark Cousins. Deadline August 15, to allow time to incorporate round-robin style comments and suggestions.
